Privacy Policy

This is the plain version. We run a small shop in Moorhead. We collect what you send us through a form, we look at aggregate traffic numbers, and that is most of the story.

Effective September 17, 2026.

Who we are

darkhorseit.ai is the website of DarkHorse AI Integration & Automation, the AI division of DarkHorse IT. The legal entity behind both is FM Digital Solutions LLC, doing business as DarkHorse IT. We are a family-owned business in Moorhead, Minnesota.

You can reach a real person about anything on this page:

What this policy covers

This policy applies to darkhorseit.ai and the forms on this domain. It does not cover the websites we build for clients. Those sites are owned by our clients and have their own privacy policies.

When you follow a link from here to a live client site, a payment page, or any other outside service, you are on their site under their rules. Our recent work page is full of those links.

What we collect

What you hand us

Our contact form, strategy call request, and class signup form ask for your name and email address. Phone number and company are optional. You also send us a message and, behind the scenes, a short label for the kind of inquiry it is (general question, strategy call, agency, class, private class, security). Class signups include the session you picked.

Class payments happen on an Intuit payment page, not here. We never see or store your card number. Intuit handles that under its own privacy policy.

What the site collects on its own

Vercel hosts this site and keeps standard server and request logs, which include IP addresses, browser user agent strings, and timestamps.

Google Analytics measures aggregate traffic: which pages get read, roughly where visitors are, and what device and browser they used. We run it with IP anonymization turned on and advertising storage turned off, so it is there to tell us which pages are worth writing more of, not to build an ad profile of you.

When you submit a form, the email we receive includes the IP address the submission came from and the time it arrived. We use that to tell real inquiries apart from bot traffic. We also count how many form submissions come from one IP address in a ten minute window so a script cannot flood the inbox, and we keep a plain seat count per class session (a number, not a list of names).

Forms are protected with a hidden field bots tend to fill in and the rate limit described above. There is no third-party CAPTCHA service on this site.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for sensitive personal information on this site, and we do not collect it to sell. Do not put account numbers, passwords, health details, or anything similar in a contact form message. If you need to send us something sensitive during an engagement, ask us and we will set up a proper channel.

Why we use it

To answer you, to book calls and class seats, to keep the site running and secure, to see in aggregate which pages are useful, and to meet legal obligations or stop abuse when that comes up. That is the whole list.

Who else sees it

A handful of service providers process data on our behalf, and only for the job they are doing:

  • Vercel, which hosts the site and keeps the server logs.
  • Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES), which delivers form submissions to our inbox.
  • Google (Google Analytics), which reports aggregate site traffic.
  • Intuit, if you pay for a class through the payment link we send you.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do not sell sensitive data at all. We will disclose information if the law requires it, or if we have to in order to protect our rights, our clients, or the security of a system we run.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics sets cookies or similar browser storage to count visits. We are not going to tell you this site is cookie-free while analytics is running.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, use your browser’s tracking protection, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. None of that breaks the site. Forms and navigation work fine without analytics.

How long we keep it

Inquiry emails stay in our business inbox as long as we have a reason to keep them: following up with you, servicing the work, and normal business records. After that they get cleaned out or archived the way any other old email does.

Analytics data is retained on Google’s schedule for our property. Hosting logs are retained on Vercel’s schedule. Seat counts for a class session are cleared once the cohort is over.

Security

We are a security-first shop, and this site gets the same defaults we hand our clients: HTTPS everywhere, security headers, authenticated email sending, least privilege on the accounts behind it, and no mystery vendors sitting in the middle of the data path.

No website and no inbox is perfectly secure. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. We would rather say that plainly than print a promise we cannot keep.

Your choices

Email contactus@darkhorseit.com or call (701) 660-0909 and ask us what we have from you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will handle it ourselves. There is no ticket queue to fight.

If we ever send you a class announcement you did not ask for, reply and tell us to stop and we will. Confirmations and replies to your own inquiry are not marketing, so those keep coming while we are talking.

For cookies and analytics, the browser controls in the section above are the fastest path. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing for you to opt out of on that front.

Children

This site is for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child sent us something through a form, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When the site changes, this page changes with it. If we add or drop a processor, or start using information in a way this page does not describe, we update the text and the effective date at the top. Material changes get a note on the page rather than a quiet edit.
